Cedar Roofing
Cedar is a beautiful roofing product that is often imitated in appearance by man-made roofing materials. However, no mass produced product such as cement or metal can match the prestige and performance of Western Red Cedar shakes and shingles.

Each roof is unique and each individual shingle is hand cut by trained and experienced employees. Some of these cedar tradesmen have had decades of experience making shakes and shingles. Cutting cedar is as much art as science. It involves a skilled eye and years of experience with the wood. When you choose a cedar roof, you're choosing a luxury item, not just a roofing material. When you buy FSR fire treated cedar shakes or shingles you're also buying peace of mind.
Due to cedar's natural high "R" rating (resilience to heat conductivity) your home will be cooler in the hottest summer, saving you money on your air-conditioning bill. Cedar can withstand freezing temperatures and will keep your home warm and dry in the winter.
Long term protection from fungal decay is provided with factory pressure impregnated treatment of preservatives that will extend the life of cedar shake and shingle roofs. Material warranties on the preservative treatment are available from the treatment manufacturers.
We recommend the use of cedar shake shingles for walls and roofs 4:12 pitch and steeper and where a premium quality product is needed or desired. The 100% edge grain requirement exceeds the national industry standard.
